Jordan Lake is a vital regional resource. It is a popular place for recreation, supplies water to surrounding communities, controls flooding and water quality, and helps conserve fish and wildlife habitats. This project will provide the communities of the Western Intake Partnership with access to the lake's water supply while protecting the reservoir's other uses. The project includes:
Project Map
The Western Intake Partnership project is projected to provide 33 million gallons of water per day at project completion and up to 54 million gallons per day in the future. This water will be withdrawn from the western side of Jordan Lake, treated, and connected to regional distribution systems. Preliminary details can be seen on the map to the right.
